Discovered these pics that my dad took right after we got it, thats my 2003 IS200 platinum along with my dads 2005 LX470. Picked up the IS last friday afternoon, havnt spent a day out of it yet :P

Lovely car mate, was the "platinum" what they called the "limited edition" in the UK (certainly looks like an LE) and "sportdesign" in the US?

Does it have the cool grey interior like the US cars or the same black interior like the UK cars? I love those grey seats, would love to get a set of those in my IS.........

Yep dude 100% sure its platinum but for some reason the old lady got rid of the chrome exhaust :|

not sure what you guys call it but yeah it does have a grey interior but its half grey half black on door trims with a grey leather seat,

we got 100 IS200 platinums and 40 IS300 platinums in aus i dont know what they were called elsewhere but it was a late 2003 release, i bought it from a ford dealer but i checked with lexus of adelaide about its origins and service history, the ford people thought it was a 2002 sports luxury but a quick look around the cabin told me what i was sitting on, got it AUD$10,000 cheaper than an equivalent one,,,,, what a lazy dealership :P

I think Platinum was the name of the model (in Australia) rather than the colour going by the other topic. Like Sport, SE, LE etc is over here.

Yep it's an LE, seems they called it the Platinum Edition in Australia :)

Got any pics of the interior? I think the grey looks fantastic, no idea why it was never one of the colour options.......

The actual colour is titanium i think, ill get some new pics later today of the inside for ya, going to get it run on a dyno today aswell just to see what its got before i do anything to it.

yeah real LX470 RHD, they also have the new LX570 for sale here, dono why you dont get them in the UK

haha very happy, my dad has the lx and my mum also has an rx330, were a real lexus family :P my sister has a toyota yaris which makes her feel very left out,
