Hopefully this is not A) a stupid question and B) in the wrong section! :D

I've just had my car repaired (insurance job) and I now have a new o/s headlight.

Unfortunately the d/s light is horribly tinted yellow and just looks crap!

any idea's on how to make it not look so crappy? :)

muchly appreciated :D

Hello matey when i used to build headlamps for BMW and TOYOTA we used to use BRASSO to clean the lenses and remove discoloration, I still use it on mine now, but dont rub too hard as its the laquer thats changing colour on the lense and it can remove it after time, it might work on the yellowing of the lense so try a small area first to make sure its not too abrasive for it, :)

I use to get this problem with my lens on the IS when it was out in Cyprus, summatt to do with the sun that does summatt to the headlight, I know it don't help but all I did was use T-Cut and it brings it up like new, have to put a bit of elbow grease into it tho but it does work..

what i did with mine was to sand the scratches out with 1200 grade wet n dry sand paper and soapy water.then polish them back up to like new using t cut and a foam polishing mop attatched to my drill.keep the mop moving around the lens as not to burn them and use a bit of water to stop the polish drying out to quickly.u tube have some vidios on how to do it.bit of a messy job but the results were great.good luck
