Hi all,

I hope some one out there can help.

My Lex's headlamp washer does not retract fully and sticks out around 2-3 cm from the bumper. Has anyone else ever had this problem? And does anyone know how to get to the motor (I really don't want to take the bumper off)?

Any views or opinions much appreciated.

J

Mine are missing and I just have the blanks but the pipework and everything is still there waiting to be connected and when I asked about motors a few guys on here told me they work off water pressure not motors. have you tried just giving it a spray with WD or putting a little fairy liquid down there it may just be sticking.

Yes you are correct, they just run off water pressure.

Need your lights on and plenty of water in the bottle :)

Thanks for the response. I had tried WD but that didn't make a difference, I even tried a bit of brute force but it won't budge. I am almost tempted to just remove the cover and glue it over the hole.

Have you sorted it yet  if not can you see down underneath the washer something may have gotten in there and is jamming it, may be best to remove the engine cover underneath the car and have a butchers from below.

Still not sorted, I'll need to have a proper look this weekend if i get time, or I might wait until i get the front bumper resprayed, some plank scuffed it and now the paint is flaking where it's taken the shunt.
