Finally Got Round To Painting The Calipers

Finally got a chance to paint the brake calipers and put the decals on :D very pleased with the result ties in very well with the colour of the car IMHO, cant believe how easy it was to do aswell just a little time consuming but when it's sunny who cares. ;)

E-bay matey about £8 and you get spares in case you f :tsktsk: k it up but there really easy to apply :D

I'd go red(can't beleive I just wrote that) matey with your car being black, seen a black IS last week with red calipers looked nice.

Sorry :) should of mentioned that they are available through LOC, the ones on eBay are slightly curved to follow the line of the caliper and the LOC ones are straight like the Lexus badge so it's just a matter of preference.

Yeh looking good.

Was thinking of doing mine red but now not sure. They are already blue on a Platinum Ice car. Might leave as is and blue up the engine bay with silicone to match!

I believe it was TomCooper with the dark grey IS200 & yellow calipers

I agree that red looks good with a black is200, but if you want a more subtle look the hamerite smooth blue does the trick. Thats just my humble opinion.

Mines red on a plat lexus, but i think i would have prefered black with white decals.

hmmm i have the bright red one but dont know what colour to paint my calipers red would be in keeping with the car yellow would be nice but a bit LOUD black just doesnt appeal any help guys

I agree, silver or black on a red car. Might get away with red, but it has to be exactly the same red as the car or it may again not look right. Gotta say yellow calipers on a red car doesn't sound good, a bit too ketchup and mustard.........

If you PM sorted vti on here, he can provide them for you. I just took delivery of a set of curved, chrome decals for £8 which arrived within 2 days of payment. May as well keep it 'in-house' and help a fellow LoC member out :winky:

I used Hammerite smooth direct to rust metal paint dark blue, I scrubbed the calipers with a wire brush and some degreaser before painting on the advice of other guys on here who've done there's and would defo advise anyone thinking of painting there's to clean them 1st. :)
