Firstly i think everyone's being very cruel and insensitive ... :angry:

This should be a serious subject - could be very painful for you ...

You might wanna contact your local Health and Safety Executive.

They're bound to have info on how best to avoid the RSi.

I hope it's not gone past the stage where the pain can be alleviated ...

Ha Ha ... my last post almost sounds like i'm being serious :D :D :D

No No, stop hitting me.... :blink::blink::blink:

You should get one of those headbands with a finger like prodder hanging off the front.

Then you could type while leaving your hands free for 'other jobs' :sick::sick:

ROTFLMFAO :lol: :D :lol: :D

goodness me boy...

Get a baguette and 2 elestic bands... hollow out the baguette and insert your arm and tie together with the elastic bands... this will act as a great wrist brace.

Forget "The Goose" he is too busy watching Mad Max!

I'll get ya goosey!

:D :lol::lol::lol:

Didn't Raj say he'd had RSi type problems from continually making sandwiches ?

Or was that from permanently strangling his wifes cat :shifty:

Maybe he has a suggestion ...

or his mate professor leibstrom - you know, George W's special advisor :ohmy:

Of course you could always try using windoze.

Enforced rest breaks while it hangs / crashes / reloads etc :blink:

serious

I hope it's not too painful for you and gets better :sad:

/serious

Still PML :D :D :lol::lol: :D :D

Steve ( admin ) having worked in IT since leaving school I have suffered with it once about a year ago. It lasted about a month, found these pads you can get to put in front of the keyboard are helpful ..... also make sure kefboard is far enough away from edge of the desk that you are also resting on your arms. Another trip trying raising your mouse pad about 3/4 inch of the desk, it makes you support your arm on the desk.

Alternative is to get somebody to do it for you :)

you can get pads for keyboard or mouse use that are filled with silicone, really nice to squidge around :whistling:

I wonder how Ken Livingstone copes. He must get it all the time.

I had RSI a few years ago (stop it!) and was given a wrist brace by the doctor. I had to wear it for a couple of weeks and make some changes at work - wrist support in front of the PC etc. and all is well now ;)

Its all down to posture Steve, i have e-mailed a diagram for your consideration. The main problem is keeping the wrist level and a mouse rest or keyboard rest will help. Like Claire i had a wrist brace, but by that time the damage was done and a long course of physio with better posture sorted it.
