Not sure if they are towing hook covers but there are tow of them on the rear bumper, nearly square and about an inch and a half across.

Well one if mine has gone walkies, so looking for one. Unfortunately lexus sell them unpainted ( they are very cheap at less then £4 ) but painting will cost a fortune - I guess. Do they just push in ( and pull out ) ?

Anybody got a black one spare?

They're the covers for the location of the screwthread for the towing eye, and just prise out/push in. You're lucky your IS is black as it's got to be the easiest to match the paint.....in fact if you're handy with an aerosol I'd suggest DIY :whistling:

Tango can you get Lexus paints in a spray? I'm quite happy to give it a go but I would want to know taht it's not going to stand out like a sore thumb. Does black have clearcoat over the top?

The original paint will be water based so I'd guess it's got a clearcoat and also the reason why you will not get the same paint in an aerosol. Is yours metallic or not? If not then you should be able to get a good match with an aerosol equivalent from Halfrauds etc. which will not require a clearcoat on top (although if you want to there's no reason not to  ).

For the cost of a can it's not going to break the bank, and you can have as many goes at the cover as you like providing you have the wet & dry to re-prep.
