replacements as below

brake fluid if 2 years old

the rest is just visual inspections and if they give you any bull about worn discs, these are covered under lex warranty.

Thanks for the advise

I did actually call the Service Dept (very friendly) at Birmingham

and she told me the same items Inc fully Synthetic engine oil

Also she said when i get the car to book it in as it is due a recall for the Injector problem

and they will also give it the visual saftey check

I then called stratstone who are now checking that the items i mentioned have been done

and also said they only fit genuine manufacturers parts

But i will get this in writing from them.

Just got to wait for the DVLA to pull there finger out now

Any one any idea how long it takes to swap a Number plate, i was told 5-7 working days

now we are on to the 10th working day

Obviously this is useless information now, but you should have removed the plate off your old car ages ago and put it on retention, once you've done that, putting it on the new car can be done same day :)

Good luck getting it though hope it comes soon. When we last put a plate on retention, it took 2 weeks to come back to us........

The problem will only hit you when it's time to sell...it'll be the one area where dealers will try and shave off some dosh. If you have it in writing that it was done to manufacturers spec then you are legally covered, and when asked you can confidentally state that it has a full service history...just make sure you get the garages stamp in there too...

i will make sure i get it in writing before i hand over another penny

but i do plan to keep it at least 4 years but you never know what is around the corner

Thanks for the advise

also i wish i had now retained the plate as it is now coming to half way through the month and

i can see it coming back on the 20th, then i lost a months car tax

DVLA what a joke

you can Tax a car on line but cannot swap a plate online

seems so easy to me :crying:
