in the autoexpress issued this week there was a mention of recalls for is250 and gs300 due to faults with the fuel lines built between june 05 and dec05.

I mentioned it on this forum in January this year:

I believe the fuel line recall is still pending with VOSA as I cannot bring up any recall for the IS250 in 2007 on their site. Apparently it's a problem in the cold bending of the fuel lines during manufacture that has caused the lines to suffer from age related cracking in some instances (I know my car falls within the manufacturing period :crying: ).

Still haven't heard anything from Lexus, which is a bit worrying as it's a potential safety issue. Quite a few in the States have been recalled and rectified.

had it done last month when in for 20k service .

ah...sorry mr tango :) gonna ring em tomorrow n check mine

let us know what they say chandru, if its something that needs looking into then i'll have to call up my dealer aswell then

The recall affects 3,921 cars manufactured between 03/06/05 and 02/12/05. It relates to a faulty seam weld on the fuel line. The recall is dated 15/04/08 on the VOSA register. The VOSA site lists all VIN affected. Recall also included IS 250, same dates.

If you want to check you need to put manufacturer as Toyota not Lexus.
