Theres 3 little round rings on the back of the badge Rob if you take your grill off you will see them, all i did was prise them off with a flat bladed screwdriver and it'll come off, the black backing is part of the badge on the oe fitted one which holds it to the grill :D Have you just got the siver badge without the backing plate attached??

hi chris,

well its not silver, ut yeah. it has no backing plate.

am i stuck then?? i take it u mean the chrome badge is actually bonded to the black backing plate and can't be seperated??

i was hoping to just seperate it and leave the black backing plate to put my new one on :crybaby:

ahhh poop!!

any ideas how i can get round this then???

would it be possible to stick the badge on on its own??

The only thing i can think of at the moment is to araldite/glue some fixing pegs or small screws to the rear of the badge so it can be fixed to the grill or double sided tape again but not sure if it would stay on very well??? :whistling:

so the general feeling is pull the old one off and attach the new badge via an adhesive or mocked-up bolt/nut attachment??

shame the chrome badge can't be removed on its own without the backing plate :crybaby:
