The British Drift Championship would like to announce that we have secured an additional sponsor for the 2008 season.

It is with great pleasure that the British Drift Championship welcomes Falken Tyres as the series sponsor for the 2008 series. We believe that the involvement in British drifting of this progressive and pioneering company with a great motorsport reputation demonstrates how far the sport has come in the UK. The drift revolution is upon us and we're proud to be at the heart of it with Falken Tyres.

It was announced today that Falken tyres are to sponsor the 2008 season of the British Drift Championship.

The series offers competitors the opportunity to partake in one of the largest growing motor sport activities sweeping Europe at an entry level.

Already hugely popular in Japan and the United States and featured in a Hollywood blockbuster the sport is set to take the UK by storm.

Jon Limmer, Falken Brand Manager, commented "Falken are so pleased to have this exciting opportunity to be involved in grass roots motor sports in the UK. Falken has a huge following in the drift community worldwide and we are delighted to be able to offer our support to the BDC team".

The programme will be shown during a half hour slot within a programme called RACEWORLD and will be aired within three weeks of filming.

The programme is broadcast to:-

7 million homes in the UK on Sky 2 and Sky 3

27 million homes in the USA on Fox TV

7 million homes in South Africa on MNET

3 million homes in Korea

The programme is also aired on Star TV in central Asia covering Singapore and Hong Kong.

BRITISH DRIFT CHAMPIONSHIP AND CODEMASTERS® JOIN FORCES FOR RACE DRIVER: GRID™

The British Drift Championship and Codemasters, the creators and publisher of award-winning video games, today announced a partnership to promote the forthcoming and much anticipated racing game Race Driver: GRID™.

Ahead of the game's launch this summer, the partnership will begin at the first round at the Teesside Autodrome in March with all participating cars carrying the Race Driver: GRID logo as part of their livery.

"Drifting is a new and exciting racing style in Race Driver: GRID, and the opportunity to team up with the British Drift Championship is important in showing GRID and Codemasters to a new audience." said Dan Robinson, Marketing Manager, Codemasters.

This is a service for anyone interested in the British Drift Championship, drivers, supporters and drift fans can keep up to date will everything BDC.
