Is200 Interior.

Hi everybody!

Ok this is a small problem but i thought i'd share a thought. Has anybody else noticed how not scratch resistant the IS200 interior is. I mean seriously, the passanger side dash is so easy to scratch. I was wondering if there were others like me out there wondering the same. Is there any way to counter this(Probably not just a thought though). My IS is a 2003 and before me kept by a business women who drove alone most of the time so when i got it was in pretty good nick. After i've been driving it there are pretty intresting scratches on the passanger side dash. I don't know maybe i have to change my friends. Anyway if anybody finds this post odd don't read it :P :D just thought i'd spark a conversation

Yep, i know when i have to cut my nails when i go to turn the stereo and my nail just taps and scores a thin line on the center console lol. No im not a female..

well my nails didnt do it on mine but i have scratched most of my little cubby hole area up below the TRC switches et on both sides mobile phones etc i wanna fix it up now lookin terrible any ideas guys

Really? Mine seems to be quite scratch resistant. Mine's in pretty much mint condition. Must be to do with my fully manicured and soft hands lol!!! No, I'm not a girl either!

Anyone removed their headunit? It's damn easy to scratch around there!

It does seem like they could have made it somehow a little more resilient.

i have this prob butt autoglm silicon spray covers them up so u cant see them,

Everytime CD player removal is mentioned on a thread, someone will always mention masking tape to protect the dash.

It is also in my walkthru I email out 5 times a day. C'mon peeps, mask it before you try anything at all or you will be sorry !!

He is wright!! When I played with my interior I used masking tape. I forgot once and .. 2 scratches he he - but they are small :)

It really is an essential step as the paint really does scratch easily.
