Newbie Questions

Recommended Posts

You properly heard alot of these dumb questions before, can someone help me with:

I have managed to changed the air filter (by unhooked to clips) and replaced which is straight forward. But for the life of me, I couldn't see where the pollent filter goes. I know it's behind the glove box, but can't see where it is. Would be grateful if some one able to send a picture of where it is? Also I trying to replace 6 sparks, where hell is it?

I owned a rover 200 before it's so much easier to replace parts, seems like lexus doesn't want people to tamper with the car :)

cheers :shifty:

Hi and welcome

To get at the pollen filter you need to "squeeze" in the sides of the glove box and let it drop right down, you will see the filter housing.

For the plugs you need to take off the all the gubbins on top of the engine, air duct, filter housing and the engine cover. Next you will see the coilpacks held in with a single bolt (10mm hex), disconnect the wires and remove the bolts. About 8" down that hole is the plug.

Yes behind the glove box up the top, open flap and pull it out :D (its only very thin)

6 sparks ? if you mean spark plugs, then you have to remove the airbox, that you changed the air filter in :D
