hello all,

this is my first post.

i have finally found a mark 1 GS300 sport im looking to buy. my intention is to convert it to LPG.

i rang a few places to get quotes. however one company i spoke to broke my heart!!

they said to me that the GS300 sports were and are very problematic when converted to LPG. reason is that it has soft valves. in the long run the car will develop "valve seep recession." the company told me they would be very reluctant to take on the job, but will if customer insists.

obviously its not good news for me because im on the verge of buying the car.

so my post is to ask for gs300 sport owners who have had LPG conversions to describe their experiences. was it a good idea? problems or no problems etc

hope you can help me as i would really like to know if im doing the right thing. also im on the verge of making an offer for the car

many thanks

If you get a FlashLube system fitted (look on eBay) it should prevent valve wear. They should have pointed this out. If they don't know anything about it, go elsewhere.
