right after my troubles with ipod car kits i kinda got something to work but now i think i may have somehow (dont no how) broken my cd changer port

how can i test the perminant live an ig live on the changer port to see if they are still supllying power

to cut a long story short when i now connect the ipod kit it doesnt seem like any power is getting to the ipo ie it wont charge which it used to do? so in turn no power would be getting to the unit to power it

if it is shot is there anywhere else i could tap into or does it have to be the changer port lives it uses
