Fitting Brakes

Been looking on net more, and do have my on some brakes.

Just need to know .

A. how do i change the bakes, as i've never done it before

and

B. What tools do i need. (take it i only have what comes with the lexus, but i do have a few other bits)

Any help will be reward. somehow. lol

Not much needed at all to do the job. I think it took me about half an hour at the midlands meet to change Lexus2D's pads and discs.

14mm spanner or socket for the caliper slide pin bolts.

17mm socket and breaker bar (I use a 2ft breaker bar, makes these very easy to get undone, a standard length racthet can be difficult)

something to retract the pistons (a carpenters G-clamp can be used if you don't have the proper thing).

That's it for the tools, just some copper grease, a wire brush and maybe some degreaser depending on whether the new discs have a protective coating on them to stop them rusting in storage.

Raz got mine done at London Road Bromley Kwik-Fit, they had a deal on free pads for life

if you get discs done. Mine stops pretty good, Fronts were less than £200 fitted.

I also would have done the free pads for life ............................ shoulder pads that is!
