I picked up my brand new Nissan Micra Spirita on Saturday morning. I had the dual brake fitted Saturday lunch time (only a brake as I teach in an automatic). Put my roof sign on, mirrors etc Sunday evening. Did 4 hours of work in it today, and with just 200 miles on the clock, I get a puncture. I couldn't change to the spare wheel as it's a space saver and you can't teach when using one. Took it to Kwik Fit who repaired it for £17.50 which I thought wasn't bad but what did suprise me was when they did the wheel nuts up. Usually they do them up using the air tool and get them so tight that only the hand of *** could remove them, but no, they were done up by hand, and then torqued up with a torque wrench, checked by another coligue and after 10 minutes, it was all done. I've never been so impressed.

And get this. Because my new Micra has the 15 inch wheels on them, there are only three company who do the tyres for them. Bridgestone, Dunlop and Continental. And the price for one tyre without fitting and balancing was £110. I was getting 17 inch Michelin Piolot Sports for my old GS300 for £90 a go. Because Michelin don't do these tyres in this size, I can't get them from Costco either. Lets hope I get at least 30,000 out of these front tryes.

Many thanks. Rant over.
