New Lexus Delivery

Lexus Woodford want to deliver my new car to me rather than have me pick it up on Friday as the salesman has to go on a course and they don't have anyone to do the handover.

Should I insist that I collect it from them? Should I be concerned that some oik will be revving the nuts of my new car?

Absolutely. There's noooooo way that I'd have my new car delivered in any other way than on a trailer. They'll have to sort it out or get a salesman in to do the hand over. The customer is ALWAYS right.

I would want to expect if inside and out, ensure all is OK, then complete the paperwork & check service and warranty are stamped ...... before handing over the money. Easier to do and recitfy at the showroom in my opinion.

if they were going to trash it they would have don it by now and their drivers drive IS GS RX LS and some SC all the time so they are not worried aboud trashing yours.

Its great to have it delivered it all part of a great service.

if its dark when its delivered then write on the paper work to be inspected in the daylite.

Dont worry sit back and let them do the runing around :duh:

It's all part of the sevice lexus have delivered all our cars exsept 2 and our dealer is 100mile away they also collect them for sevice to the guy that picks them up is great (jason lexus exeter).

you would not get any problems with lexus GB anway

I would want to be the first to drive it properly though - putting those first miles on the clock.

My IS200 was trailered down to Slough from Newcastle, 0 miles on the clock. :)

I know a lot of people that work at the docks and belive me you would cry if you know the way they drive your cars when they come off the boat.

I can't see that though!!! At least it's only a short time for them to do that. And I still got my car delivered with 0 miles :P

Claire I hate to have to sadden you but new cars come with a reset on the speedo which allows it to be reset a limited number of times before it has done 100 miles. I don't know if the Lexus does but I would think it does .... hence your zero miles, otherwise how would it have got from th factory to the transporter ... otta the docks ...... etc etc etc

But I am sure they all took care of it for you :)
