Is200se Wheels

Can anybody tell me if the alloys on the 200SE are laquared or un-laquared.

The ones that corrode are only laquered on the face side but the later wheels are laquered both sides to stop the corrosion

Chris - what about the Sport 18 inch wheels ( on styling kit ), should they be lacquered on both sides? Mine aren't and therefore collect and show all the rod dirt & brake dust. Not impressed by them ...... but you don't notice until you take them off.

On the pre-02 version of the S the 16" alloys aren't lacquered at all and they are a real pain to keep clean. The newer style of 16" wheels appear to be lacquered though.

when i looked at buying my lexus the car was awaiting prep,the wheel rims were sh***ed,(women drivers)however i was promised that the wheels would be A 1 if i bought it.True to their word lexus norfolk(norwich) made the wheels look pukka-they wre grit blasted etc etc,and looked good-however i got a puncture (currently sueing the council)and fitted the spare didnt realise how good the original wheel was,not laquered looks bloody brilliant-put my other wheels to shame-not really relevant to your question but i thought i would share it with you anyway.
