Headlamp Lens Cleaning

Anyone got a good method for cleaning off the inside front suface of IS headlamp units? Mine have built up a film over the years and could do with a clean up.

When i used to build headlights we used BRASSO to clean any dirt or polish scratches out of the lenses on the outside of the lense not sure if it'll have the same effect on the inside though as there not coated if i remember but could be worth a try just rub it in gently then polish off? you might need to do it a few times to get rid of any staines? I do my lights now and again to clean dead fly's and other dirt off and seems to work quite well as its a very light abrasive polish? :)

i used to have brown tinged lights on my old imprt... T-Cut works well too.. lights look new afterwards

Great suggestions guys - would have taken me ages to get to the Brasso/T-Cut end of the cleaning materials spectrum.

Will check it out this weekend.
