Bit of a weird one this, but something that's cropped up today.......

Do all IS200's have a double pass tongue on their seatbelts???

Or is this just on the earlier (1999-2000) models??

what is the difference between double pass tongue & single ?

(or is this a silly question ?)

Slightly :offtopic:

I fitted a late model IS200 Leather interior into my 2001 model

and the tongue was too big for the (newer) seat mounted buckle,

but they were only £10+VAT for each so just bought 2 of the 2001 older

spec ones & fitted them to my newer seats.

All works fine including the sensors.

I then got sent the later belts so if anyone needs a full set of front belts lemmie know.

it refers to the plastic part of the buckle and is not easy to explain in words.....

The easiest way to explain is that a single pass tongue means the belt passes through the plastic eyelet of the buckle and back to the b-pillar (i.e just loops round the buckle). A double pass tongue is where the belt passes through the plastic eyelet of the buckle and then through another plastic eyelet before going back to the b-pillar.
