Hi Gang.

Ive been puzzled since I got this Is200 as to what the large lever at the side of the seat does when you flick the end closest the front up and down???.

It makes a strange sound but doesnt seem to do anything...

the passenger side isnt electric so I dont have anything to compare it with.

if it's broken what is it supposed to do and can it be fixed?

TIA

if I pull the whole lever up it lifts it and if i press the whole lever down it goes down

its if i press the front end of the lever up and down it doesnt seem to do anything but make a noise

thats not right at all.

unless one of the helpful technically minded guys on here (eg - not me) has any sugestions as how to try and fix it yourself, sounds like you need to visit your dealer.

what is that part of the lever supposed to do?

it sounds like a small pump or something

do these seats have inflatable lumbar?

the large horizontal button has three functions.

slide it backwards and forwards - your seat moves backwards and forwards.

The front end goes up and down, this raises and owers the front end of the seat, under your legs.

The back end of the button goes up and down, and this riases and lowers the back of the seat - ie the seat height.

From what is sounds like you are saying - your button does not raise the front of the seat under your legs.

The IS200 does not have lumbar support - which Lexus need to address

Sounds like the lift mechanism on the front of the squab is jammed or broken.
