Do I Want Another Inch!

Hi folks,

After years of getting the standard is200 alloys refurbed, i think i am going to treat myself to some nice new after-market ones. I have always been happy with 17" but i am thinking that i might go a bit bigger and get some 18s. Will the ride quality be affected a great deal with 18s or will i not notice much difference? Also if i stay with 17s i could get a better set for the same money. A lot of options, so any advice would be welcome.

thanks

Ally :)

i have 18's on mine and i noticed a bit of a difference, thing is i had the 16's on mine so it was a 2 inch step up. I think the 18's will be fine and will fill the arch's a bit better. I bought hem for the same reason, my old wheels where coroded and it made sense to just buy aftermarket ones rather than get the 17's and keep getting them refurbed all the time!

Go for 18's mate. Obviously if you're going for some high market wheels (Advan, Volk, Rays etc) then they'll be alot cheaper the smaller the wheel. Another thing to take into consideration is that if your car is not lowered then 18"wheels may make it sit a little too high, looking like a 4x4.

Thanks for the replies. Probably will be 18s. Got a couple of weeks to do some research, but i want to stay with silver 5 spokes. I've seen a couple that i like so i'll go and see them in the flesh before i make my mind up.

cheers

Ally
