Hi im looking into getting an IS200 and one of my 'wants' (or 'would like's anyway) is cruise, but im unsure what models had it as most adverts/listings seem to have mixed models as having it, was it therefore an option to any model?

Cheers, Dave

I prefer to drive my car, rather than vice versa. lol

That's the reason why you want a cruise control  :shutit:

Seriously, it is possible to fit an aftermarket cruise control on a manual IS. It has been done before.

I am building an Advance-cruise-control for the Lexus. It knows where the speed limit signs are.

'Nothing like it anywhere'. See http://www.gpscruise.com

I have a manual car which I put a cruise control on. Its the old-school with vacuum system made by rostra.

The only difference is, there is a switch on the clutch-pedal to deactivate it like the brake...

So, yes, you can put a cruise on a stick, if theres a gas pedal, there is a cruise for it.

I was thinking about fitting an aftermarket kit to our Ford Galaxy auto recently and my search came up with these people:-

http://conrad-anderson.co.uk/cruisecontrol...rols-models.htm

I have no personal experience of them though, and havn't yet made contact with them. Maybe someone else has......

Cheers,

IanB :D

just looked at your site, and not much point for any of us as we don't like in Florida.

Ahhh i get it,

We add them or email you and you add them on.

I get it now. Seems a good system.

Also, the cruise has buttons on it to add signs on the fly.

For grins, goto gpscruise.com (where you found the map).

Zoom in to where you know a speed limit sign is,

Click on the road to get the gps coordinates in a popup window.

Copy them down and email it to me. I'll post it with Stav as owner....
