Rear Led Lights

Recommended Posts

Has anyone got pictures of their cars (Day or Night) with the LED lights on?

db_1.JPG

I cannot make my mind up on whether I like the black tinted or chrome on my Granite Sky (grey) lex.

Second Question - Ive found the posts about pulsing brake lights and seen the video on YouTube but cannot find out if you can use this type of LED unit for the pulse brake light. From what I can see the group buy was just for a standard 7443 bulb replacement but im guessing these LED units use several individual bulbs. Has anyone got this type of light unit to pulse at all?

Hi there,

With regards to the pulse brake lights, they work on a 'contact' style system, in which the braking force creates a connection between a ball bearing within the unit and illuminates the bulb in a pulsing manner.

As a result of this, they are not able to be seperated as are one unit, so would not be able to be used in the LED lights you posted above sadly...

Hope that explains it a bit?

Jamie

Thanks for the reply Jamie. Bit of a shame but oh well! So what does everyone think...

Should I go for:

A) The LED lights above (black or Chrome) or

B) Pulsing Brake lights on my standard lights

Id still like to see some shots of this type of light on cars if anyone has any or is this considered a tacky mod?

Get the pulsing ones, LED ones that are aftermarket look Chavvy IMO, i've seen Jamie's pulsing ones and they look smart, as they are normal rear light clusters until he brakes hard, not at all chavvy.
