Ok a buddy of mine is racing an IS300 in Canada and wants to do an Engine swap, but he has a few Qs.....hope you can help, i kinda know the answers already, but would like to confirm it here first

looking to swap a VVTi 2JZGTE Aristo engine into my street/track IS300. I would like to use the stock ECU, and stock twins, power target is 350WHP. We only have access to 94 octane, otherwise the Mines ECU seems like a good option.

What I need to know is does the stock computer have Traction Control, and was there a Trac Off button in the JZS161 Aristo? I need to know if I will be able to disable this traction control system.

Also,

do you know if the stock aristo computer has an immobilizer? Will I even be able to use the Aristo computer without an Aristo key/ignition?.

also

could I get a non VVTi Aristo, a Supra harness, and a plug and play AEM EMS for the supra? Then just feed what I have to to the stock IS300 ECU to run the dash and other features?

The 2JZ-GTE engine doesn't engine immobilise from ECU - typically most Aristo V300s have no immobiliser as such / no chip in the key.

It is a tough job to swop the engine, I would make sure it ran 550hp with larger turbo to make it worthwhile.

Problem will be pairing up a transmission that will fit the IS300 but can take 550hp or so.
