Lexus Sunroof

Hi all

My sunroof seems to rattle like there is a some loose plastic stuck somewhere and evetytime it rains the sunroof starts to rattle, the roof itself does not leak, but the rattling can get annoying, anyone any ideas? thanks

do you have the sunblind open...if so try closing it

Mine does that too (with sunblind open or closed). Seems to be the sprung black plastic arm along the front of the sunroof that rattles against the edge on mine. Not sure how to fix it though. Any ideas?

Ozzie, I think you need to narrow down exactly which part is rattling before any suggestions can be made about your particular problem.

Sounds like a common issue, mine did this for a while also.

I try to keep the sunroof blind shut, as it reduces the audible rattling.

I recently took my roof lining out, and just padded up the area which i thought were rattling with some sound deadening material.

This didn't help, suggesting that the rattle is not clearly visible, to stop.

Seems like acommon problem, i cannot pin point the exact area if i touch the plastic trim around the sunroof it all seems to have something rattling against it, it seems to get worse when its rained, it rattles with the sun visor open or closed, i doesnt rattle when the sunrood tilts or is fully open, once i close the sunroof it fine for a while before the rattle starts up again, i have WD40 it but makes no difference.

I to had this problem (gs300 sport mk11)....after many whacks with the fist I seem to have dislodged something....and now everytime I turn left or right something rattles around the sunroof area.

So don't whack it.
