Hi I have a Mk1 GS300 Sport with the Gold badges and wanted to get the badges returned to their former glory. I have found that it costs quite a lot though especially to buy new from Lexus dealers and it might be a lot cheaper if there were a few people interested and to go to a professional.

So... Is anyone interested in getting their original Lexus badges or any other detail re-covered in gold? just let me know and if I can get a few together we could get a job lot done for a relatively cheap price. theres a lot of firms here in the Midlands who already plate for the automotive industry etc. just leave a message expressing your interest or PM, me.

Others must have been looking before and the cheapo plastic badges on eBay etc just dont cut it on a luxury car.

Let me know,

TC

Usually de-badge if it isn't too much of a problem, although leave minimalist 'Lexus' emblems on, and personally don't like the bling of the gold badges...what's the point?

Have never liked gold, was wondering what gloss black badges would look like.

They look good, was thinking about them on a Silver car. Bazza has them on his red IS and JiberJaber has them on his black one. Both look bob on.

Jiber jaber stil about? Not been on here for ages! Not sure about the Black ones.....dont think they would suit a silver car, bit chav to be fair

wot does a silver is200 wich gold badges look like

Silver doesn't match, somehow....gold seems to go better with dark colours; green as already mentioned...or black perhaps. But different strokes, etc?

Don't think gold goes with my Maroon, for example, though black might go. I'm happy with chrome.(Like the chrome/plastic rad kits too...)

On wear.....Can't you laquer over the gold to stop the gold wearing off?
