Never Say Never... Modding Is A Bug

Well when I bought the IS in November last year, I said to the missus I'll keep this car standard - honest !

So far I've started to slip down the slippery slope as I've done the following :

1. K&N Filter

2. Refurbed and powder coated the alloys

3. Managed to track down and fit the much coveted higher up armrest

I might have to cool my heels for a little while or the missus might notice...

The next mods I may look into are :

a. sorting out the headlights (one has condensation which isn;t going away) and remove the orange lense andhave a silvervision indicator bulb in its place.

b. swapping all the bulbs to blue led's - I 'm not a fan of orange lighting - but it means doing all the parts - cluster, radio, climate controls, cig lighter and window switches....

I started with a dash tray and arm rest. Now there's not a great deal left standard

I spent ages looking for one on all the breaker sites I could find.. they are like rocking horse poo ! I even tried the Lexus Stealerships local to me and they had no idea what I was talking about !

I ended up finding one on a breaker site - www.lexrex.net - in Australia. Sent a couple of emails and it was sorted. It's cost me £270 (as customs stung me for £27 charges then 'ParcelFarce' stung me for a further £13 for processing that !!).

I can't fault the service from Zak @ Lexrex - it was in my hands in 10 days - and considering the deal was done over the Xmas/New Year period as well !
