Fuel Type And Oil

Recommended Posts

I have taken the step to spend a bit more on 97 ron petrol in my IS.

Although i am still getting it from Tesco after a month or so of running about it seems my car feels better for it.

Anyone gone a step further and use the Shell V power 99 ron fuel?

Also whats the best engine oil to use these days.

i was lookign at Castrol magnatex 10/40.

i've been using the Shell V Power for a while now. I can definately feel a difference (slightly better performance), and my mpg doesn't seem to have changed :D

I just fill up the IS with whatever 97, 99 etc fuel is nearer to hand - but given the amount of fuel it drinks I look for somehere to get Nectar points !!!

Nectar saved me £150 on my xmas shopping bill in Sainsburys this xmas given the expenses I've put through this year on the CC !

I do wonder how she'd run on a 25 litre can of Racing Blue from Santa Pod !!

The weekend beast is always filled with v-power or 99ron fuel. Jap engines run so much better on higher octane.
