Remote Amp Control On A Pionneer P55bt

Recommended Posts

Just realised today as i was taking shopping out of the boot that my amp is staying on after the ignition is switched off. So i had a mess around with the different 12v and switched and remote amp connections on the back of the HU, the only way i can seem to set it up results in the following 2 scenarios:

1. The headunit loses all its memory when the ignition switches off, and the amp DOES turn off.

2. The HU keeps all its memory when ignition is turned off but, amp DOESNT turn off.

I'm using the ISO lead off eBay,never got any instructions with it. I know there is a few lads here that have the same HU. I know there is a remote system control cable coming out of The HU lead but when i connect the Remote amp wire that goes to the amp to this, the amp doesnt turn turn on. I have to connect it to the spare yellow wire that comes out of the HU lead.

Im sure im just doing something simple but i just cant see what. Will leaving the amp powered on run down the Battery on me? Any help???
