Head Unit From The Us

hiya guys,

i'm in the states at the minute and as i've been after a double din screen for my IS i thought i'd take a look arouns over here.

found a couple of really nice units (pioneer and kenwood mainly). would these units be compatible in the UK in terms of picking up radio stations? i see no reason why the dvd/cd playback won't work, but just not sure about radio.

also, what do i need to look for in terms of straight fit compatibility into the existing radio connections? i don't wanna have to buy extra bits and pieces (if it can be avoided) or cut wires etc.....just want a screen that i can fit without any hassle into the existing radio space with an autoleads fascia adapter to fill the surrounding gap.

i wouldnt risk buying a HU from the states because any problems with it. it doesnt fit, etc, always a lot harder to return. i think the states run on different frequencies to europe so radio may not work over here.

Dunno about different frequencies but don't think they have RDS radio over there so no auto-tuning as you drive about or traffic announcement stuff.
