Hi

Jerks lower down the gears are a common floor with the IS200 do a search and you will find plenty of info its nothing really to worry about just something you get used to as for the rattles that may be a seperate matter

the noise is almost certainly the relaease bearing (also called thrust bearing) on the clutch mech, and is part of a standard clutch kit (clutch, pressure plate, release bearing) when you have a clutch change, make sure that this is changed too. a nosiy bearing is usually just an annoyance and will cause no problems other than the noise.
