Time For Some Tidying Up - Alloys And Calipers

Recommended Posts

After some colour coding advice from peeps.

I'm going to spend some time tidying up the car over Xmas/New Year by getting the alloys re-furbed and Powder coated by my local wheel whizz - Jerry @ WheelRepairCentre in Preston. Whilst he's doing the wheels I'm using the time whilst the IS is on the lift to wirebrush the calipers and paint them.

Plue Jerry is doing a special offer for clubs on re-furbs over Xmas/New Year ! :winky: :D

My IS200 is the dark blue colour. So what colours would people think suitable ?

At present I'm thinking of 'anthracite' as Jerry did a fantastic job on my MoMo alloys on my Celica and painting up the calipers in silver.

Mine's also blue (Strathcarron I think it is) and I did mine gloss black. I was really just looking to smarten it up - though I walked round Halford for ten minutes picking up various bits and bobs carrying a tin of bright red caliper paint, before going back to the shelf and picking up the more sober black!!

black sounds good, i'm hoping that the gold will tarnish and go darker because I dont want them too obvious and spoil the look of my car (as I'm not really modding it to be sporty or non standard)

here's some pics
