Cant Wait For The Next Nurburgring Trip

Just watched the episode of Top gear when Clarkson took the Jag to the ring.

Made me wanna jump in me motor and leg it over there now.

Reminds me of the two wicked trips we had this year.

I just loved the thrill of driving round it, It feels like a drug habit that I need to feed,

Cant wait for the summer months when its dry, the boys and I will deffo be taking a few trips over there next year. Hopefully we will do another few LOC trips too

Deffo not the GS, will prop hire something again,

But, Bubs (who came with us last time) brought a Evo 8 a couple of months ago, will have to try and get him to take it next time ;)

As we all know Maneesh, the standard set up on the GS is crap for handling, hence why I would never take it to the ring

If I had a decent handling car I wouldnt think twice about thrashing the pants off it around the ring, have done in the past

dont worry paul, i wasnt referring to you not taking ur car. i was meaning those dudes in 911s and M3s posing down the high street but never using that car for what it's meant to be used for...

and for the record, i went all out on my first lap (lee was ****ting himself in the back), its only the 2nd lap i decided to chill and put it on cruise all the way round :D :D

we should look at starting to book dates for the next trip..so ppl can know in advance when its gonna be..

get gran tourismo 4 for the PS2 and it has that track on it, exactly the same as the real thing but no where near as fun obviously. practice the track and you'll know all the corners and get a loads better time next time.

I had only seen monti carlo on the tv and playing racing games, scary how close it is, infact our group got lost but I found the way home as I recognised land marks from the game!

Just be careful there if you mean hire a normal car - rather than specifically for the ring...

A guy on PH got fined 2000Euro for taking a rental car on the ring - most companies in the area have clauses to that effect and spotters at the circuit!

Wouldn't worry about that mate, they hired the Mondeo last year from London and drove it all the way there and ragged the last few remaining balls out of it :D

No where near the real thing. When you get there you realise the game is as far from real life as you can get. The dynamics are totally different. I took the PS2 when we went last time and had a few practices before we went out. What a bad idea it was.

It'll probably make your lap times slower, as you'll be trying to remember where abouts in the game you always go off ;)

It is really amazing how close some of the walls are :o
