As most you can tell i'm Looking for a IS, I looked a a FEW IS300 ( there an't many about) and they all seem to be Automatics. Do they do a Manual??

Id have a is300 over a 200 any day if I was making that decision again.

It has 60 bhp more as standard with an LSD. there's the fun in that.

Drive an auto and see what you think!

Ive seen something on this forum this morning wich made me think. 'you have to be a good driver to get the manual 0-60 but anyone can get the auto 0-60 time'.

I'd have a 300 if I could afford it.

Isn't it a semi-automatic "tiptronic" style gearbox with up/down buttons on the steering wheel?

I would have have loved one over the IS200 if they were a bit cheaper. I had a tiptronic box on my last car (Mitsi FTO) and I loved it - a lot of people are prejudiced against any sort of auto box but unless you have owned one or used one for a while (tiptonic I mean) you really don't know what your missing. In the real world a tiptronic box really is the best of both worlds.

I'd agree with that. I'd have taken the auto IS300 if insurance would have let me!

Why don't you have a drive in a 300 before knocking the auto?

I went from an IS200 Sport to an IS300 and never regretted it for one second

i seen the tiptonic on a audi but they didn't let me test drive it, but do like the idea, but i wont have a auto at the mo, i might when i'm 40... hope they have slef flying cars by then :)

300 all the way. The tiptronic is quite good fun and makes for some fast change downs using the paddles.

As peeps have already said - getting performance out of the 300 is a no brainer.

I also was a bit dubious of the auto, but I've had an IS300 for a year now... and no-way do I regret it. The autobox, is brill, and much, much better than a manual IS200.

seriously tho,go for a 300 if you can.if you get a 200,you'll just be back next week tryin to get it to go faster.i wish id just gone 300 in the first place.

Scarface + Fargo ... there both better than what i have at the mo....

but sadly i don't have the funds....

i going to end up buying a is200 with high miles
