Hi people got the chance of getting some second hand TTE coilovers

I was going to get some TEINs with the EDFC

do any ppl know if there are any difference in feel etc

Also the TTE's are off a IS300 will they fit a IS200?

Cheers Elliott

Coilovers are a definate improvement over with standard/lowering springs. tbh the only advantage of the Teins are the EDFC, which if your only using the car on the road is not really much use.

Its upto you which you go for, but you'll wonder how you did without them for so long.

If funds allow, get uprated arbs at the same time.

No knocking on my teins at all, yet, fingers crossed.

Had the type flex and edfc fitted on my is200 and loving them. no knocking as of yet and certainly add to the cars handling. havent really used the edfc box other than to impress people but i wont go without it now.

nothing whatso ever wrong with TTE coilovers, dampers made by Bilstein, springs wound by Eibach.

a perfect combination, i cant see why damping adjustability is a major concern for most, seeing as they dont track there cars regular.

height adjustment, i can see a need, to set the ideal height, but not damping

havent really used the edfc box other than to impress people but i wont go without it now.

hit the nail right on the head..........

no real need for damping adjustability, and a box of electrickery inside the car is just a flashy gizmo ;)

sure is a fancy gizmo but i like it. i suppose at the end of the day its all about how much wedge you want to spend on the setup. tein also offer refurbs, i have no idea about the tte ones. i can only comment on the type flex and standard ones.

dont get me wrong, im not faulting your decission, but using your comment as confirmation of my opinion

bilstein do offer a overhaul kit for the dampers, however ive never known one to fail as of yet, in my 6 years of dealing with TTE direct

all the parts of the dampers/springs are available seperatly from TTE

The TEIN EDFC is an electronic damping force controller - more info here:

http://www.tein.com/edfc.html

Basically each coilover strut has a little adjuster on the top which you can manually adjust to change the damping level, the EDFC comes with four little motors that sit on top of each one of these adjusters and let you change them from within the car.

tahnks for the advice guys, thing is i can get the TTE's which are fairly old, for £400, or a brand new set of tien flex with edfc for £1000.

Im torn AHHHHHHHH

are the EDFC's hard to install or is it just running wires through the cabin to the control box
