Legana Bumper

Hi guys...

Just gotton hold of a Legana bumper (before you ask, it's a copy) that I've been after for a while. :D

Just wondering:

1) Does anyone know where I can get some fog lights for it? It costs a fortune for them from Japan!

2) Does anyone know if you can fit the headlight washers into the bumper?

3) I read in another thread that fibre-glass kits should get the mounting points "beefed up" before fitting (think it was Mat who said it). How exactly do you "beef up" the mounting points?

Cheers.

Don't know if its the same ones... But they look very similar to the angel eye fogs I bought off eBay for my HKS front bumper. It took some modifying of the bracket to get them to fit but they fit and look very cool. It cost about £40ish where as the actual HKS fogs for it are £300 odd +

I like the sound of that Adie, have you got any pics fella?

I do like this Legana bumper a lot, always wanted it for mine tbh!!

Of what mate?? My bumper? or The angel eyes?

Best thing to do is to measure the gap that the fogs will fit and then buy the angel eyes about half an inch or so smaller. Then just modify the bracket to fit. What I did was cut the bracket in half and then bend it slightly to fit.

Couple of pics, not the best but you can see how a cheap Angel eye mod looks as good as very expensive HKS fog light.

Think I'll go for a pair of them then and give it a whirl. They come with either clear or blue lenses. Any opinions?

Which ones did you get Adie? Any pics of them installed?

Well that's cheating! Pics weren't there when I posted!

I hope the Legana bumper looks good on Granite Sky. I've only seen one pic in that colour.

The fog in the link above is the right size, just not sure whether to get it in clear or blue. Probably safer to stick to clear I think. ALso, it doesn't say what size bulbs it takes. Any idea?

I like your bumper a lot, looks good on a Granite Sky car... can't quite put my finger on it but I get the feeling there is something missing from your car on them pics... :winky:

 Yeah just a small part of the car missing. The bonnet.

I'd go for the clear fogs mate as the blue have an actuall tint to the glass and I don't think it suits it.

I'm not too sure what bulbs they need. I dont think they come with the bulbs either  I never wired mine up anyway as i never use the fogs. It was more for the look and to fill the hole left by not having them.

the way i make the mounting points stronger is to glue a washer under the holes, then fibreglass them in place, after the fibreglass has set, drill out the fibreglass covering the holes of the washer.........voila a much stronger mounting point

I bought it from Zee - same as his old one, not the one he has now.

Isn't actually the old one though because he "altered" it for cooling reasons... I think he said he bought this one along with his new one and obviously never used it. :D

Thanks Mat, very cunning. :)

Fogs arrived from eBay. Now just got to figure out how I can fit them to the bumper...

I'm after some TRD side skirts to complete the kit. Anyone know anywhere that has any good deals on them at the moment, or anyone here have any available? :winky:

Try Lexus Teeside for the skirts or PM Chris.S on here :D Good luck with fitting the fogs. But remember to not over tighten them as you'll break the fibre glass :winky:

Cheers Adie. Got prices from Mark at Lexus Teesside and Chris.S a few months back of around the £235 mark. Just hoping they had dropped a little since then!

Also trying to find a good (and nicely priced) local bodyshop. Unfortunately there aren't many members from the North East on here to make recommendations.
