Lowering Springs Fitting

hi all.

i bought a set of HKS lowering springs for my IS200 SE, and just got a quote from a local independent garage, said: 'the whole job would take between 4 to 6 hrs assuming you have all 4 springs.our current labour rate is £36 per hour + 17.5% vat.'

is it the typical price you can get from independent garages? also could anyone please recommend some good garages in kent area?

Hello.

When I had my car lowered total cost was £202.10p this incl tracking adjustment, camber check and fitting of 4 springs.

This is my local garage just around the corner from where i work, this was done a year ago and all seems fine with tyre wear etc.

Our local Inde garage charges £40 + Vat.

I don't live anywhere near kent so can't recommend. I don't think your going to get much cheaper, unless you know someone in the trade.

i brought it to a local garage today, paid 280 in total..

quite expensive indeed..

now saving again for a supercharger~~

Was it worth it tho? Want to get mine done but -30mm doesn't seem that much considering it looks like its on stilts on wheels as standard.

the HKS lowering springs i got lower the car 35mm.. it makes the car looks lot more better than standard.

i didnt really 'test' the car for cornering so far, so couldnt make any comments right now.

but if you want great improvement on handling, should really go for a set of coilovers rather than springs, although they are far more expensive.
