before dismantling your door, spray some rubber lubricant onto the window rubbers

more than likely the glass sticking to the rubber

If its presure it will fluctuate with the rev's when under load, driving around, at high rev's it will read high presure and at low rev's read low presure, if when started from cold the needle will decrease slightly as it gets warm if just left to tick over.

if it's temprature it will start low when started from cold and move slowly up as engin warms (obviously).

Craig

P.S. I miss an oil presure guage because in my old car I could tell exactly how much oil was in the car just by the avarage presure reading while driving (old turbo car so needed the oil levels checking regularly) in the end I only need a dip stick to tell me when it was full after topping up.

if it is pressure shouldnt it actually be somonewhere between low and high and not always at low ?

Sorry i shouldn't have said " I think", should have said "It is" Oil pressure!

Yes it should move too, mine is low when idling but rises when i'm booting it and then drops again when i back off....

If yours stays low all the time then something is amiss, if it's very low don't drive the car..... get it checked, might be a faulty sensor ......

Have you checked the oil level lately?

As Noel said defo oil pressure, mine sits about 2 marks below the middle on idle and about 2 marks above with revs. Pressure and position will also depend on the oil you are using.

Thats very true about the Oil type, I recently put in Duckhams fully synthetic 10W40 and the gauge now moves up and down alot more than it did with "Toyota filled" type oil...... is this a good or bad thing i don't know but the car feels so much better since i changed it....

If your still trying to fix your window, search for the guide in the workshop section for upgrading front speakers. This tells you how to remove the door card. On my last car one of the screws that holds the window onto the electric window thingy :P , came out and the window wouldnt open or close properly
