New Rattle?

Tapping Noise behind the N/side radio panel exactly opposite the security light located on the other side.If I press the panel with moderate finger pressure noise disappears.I beleive its the wires to the Passengers Temperature Control that is to blame! Car booked-in next week:will let you know the outcome which I am confident will be fine.Drove 20 miles this a.m & the car was perfect:drove 60 miles p.m. & "tapped" all the way!!

As I have received no feedback am I correct to assume this is a "known fault" due to inadequate cabeling protection :anyone out there know?

Not occured on mine yet.

I keep saying this - the majority of rattles were noted in the period pre-May 2006. Obviously it was cooler then, and it's getting cooler now.

I think we all need to watch this space, especially those of us who took the earlier models...

On most cars the looms are covered with cloth insulation over the normal insulation. This not only keeps the loom wires together, but stops this "ra-tat-at-at". Dunno what Lexus wires are insulated with. Anyone know about this?

I understood there were just Two basic Dash faults @ launch.

1.Under-sized Dashboard location pegs &

2.Some electrical cabling not sheathed all the way along their path [unless someone knows different?]

You are So right to consider the temperature factor but I believe, for mine to suddenly appear, it is due to vibration/movement as the outer insulation is missing!

Lexus build quality is the Global Leader:guess the Dash Supplier in Tahara has been whipped unmercilessly for Giving a few of us all this grief!
