Well TBH i couldnt care less is a PN is on or not as long as the product does what it is meant to do and as long as the supplier (Mark in this case) will honour any replacement, and that the customer has evalutaed the costs involved and is happy with that, from that point on it is a deal between buyer and seller and no one elses business.

If however a product is marketed as the tuning companies "own manufactured and designed" product then it is found that the company just buys it in and passes it off as their own then I would be a bit upset esp if a high margin is added, if it is a small margin then i would still be a bit upset if it was passed of as something it isnt.

I dont know the details of what this "product" is meant to be BTW.

Mark are you still passing of the failure on my car as Lexus component failure, because that is BULL.my car and its components were fine and in working order once all your products were taken off and is still running perfectly.Insulting to hear this really. The issues with my car were created by Tdi and the products they fitted.Yes you refunded my money on my demand and I told you clearly you could keep all the labour costs approx £2.5k so that it wasnt a complete loss for you and your staff. Its silly that till this day you havent admitted that you didnt understand the complications of mapping an auto Lexus IS and thats why many people cant beleive anything that you say, because Lexus Stoke,Brum and notts have all told me that there wasnt anything wrong with my car or its components, are you saying that you are more of a specialist than LEXUS themselves(ok they are idiots i agree, but i think they know).forget about charlesworth(you seem to think they are all villagers,so lets not even comment)but guess what they said- the same.Four garages clearly telling me the same thing, but NO ,Tdi are right, ofcourse. Please Mark whatever you do please dont confuse me for someone who cares about making people look bad,but you cant say things that arent and were not true.If you still think its lexus component failure, when 4 other specialists have agreed on the same thing then i can tell you you are wrong.

The only Trader I know of that buys parts in and labels them as his own brand is you (as I pointed out in my second from last post).

I didnt label them at all I described them as such as I was the first trader to find some at that time....

Thats a bit different from what you do methinks........

Are you absolutely sure you don't know of any other traders who do this then .............I've heard different...something about a trader removing all identifying features from walbro fuel pumps and selling them as the garages own at an inflated price.........

yeah,it was a camcon/injectors550cc/vpro/wb sensor/racelogic trc-and it ran like a dog for weeks, until i said id had enough and i wanted my dosh back for parts and Tdi keep the labour-all my desicion, nout to do with tdi and this has now somehow turned into raj didnt want to continue with the project because of issues with his car.again i aint trying to make anyone look bad,but this wasnt the case.I have kept every correspondence between tdi and myself aswell as every receipt and note and i can clearly say that they are very proff team and they have a nice style, but they didnt understand the auto IS once their products were applied to it.

star a -what are you tryin to say?i know lexus are pricks and youre point is

oh i'm sorry, i thought you said you took it to these 'pricks' to get a definative answer to your motor's problems because 'they should know'. my point is they don't always know now do they, hence my remark about the geometry.

they know it is wrong( in terms of tyre wear) but can only set it to the limits thay are told to/ specified

Don't get me wrong, as I have no dealings with Tdi so I cant comment on their service, im sure many people have been happy. I'll take each trader as I deal with them, but Geom has nothing to do with it really.......

correct, thats why you get second opinions, and third and fourth.....

I see..

Did they know it ran that bad and still gave it to you?

I personally wouldn't of accepted it at time of collection, if they said it wasn't right they shouldn't have released the car back to you. Unless you just took it being oblvious to the above?

have you crawled up a certain traders backside by any chance?.Im a payin customer who spent 5k with tdi for them to make my car illegal to drive as it would fail MOT,yes ill beleive LEXUS over TDI this time.dont me f****** laugh, its how it stands in a court af law and if it went that way,yes three lexus centres would have the edge over any self proclaimed Lexus specialist,no matter what methods they use or reputation. If a doctor is on trial for a clinical error eg. not taking an x ray and a panel of four doctors stand and say they would have taken an x ray, then that doctors expertise has to be questioned.YES

Hi Raj,

I know you are a professional and a Gentleman so I am very sorry you got dragged into this.

I am not saying that we are better than everyone else. Although our capabilities are better than some, everbody makes mistakes.

The only issue we diagnosed and were able to cure with your car was a Lexus temperature sensor which caused over fuelling until it was replaced. Ensuing problems after that were down to lack of development on the auto transmission with FCON. You kindly stated that I told you that we had not done an auto before and that there was a risk attached. Following ongoing issues you completely understandably decided that you didn't want to continue with it so I offered you your money back. I realise that is of no interest to you now but we have subsequently successfully developed this upgrade for auto transmission.

Once again, I apologise for all inconvenience caused.

If you do have any ongoing issues with myself or TDi please send me a PM or email. Thanks :)

You've had a bad ordeal, for that i'm sorry. And no i am not up anyones backside, i just don't have a clue what the hell some people are talking about when refering to your car, only from what i've been told by some people i think @ JAE 2006.... Its all he said, she said... So i thought i'd ask what you had done to make it such a 'hot topic' for bashing...

I still want to know if you knew its running condition when you picked up the car, if you don't want to answer no skin off my nose!!

You describe them as "Prolex 550cc Injectors". Just take a look at the title of your thread. You are clearly claiming them to be "Prolex2 when they are Toyota"

Are you absolutely sure you don't know of any other traders who do this then .............I've heard different...something about a trader removing all identifying features from walbro fuel pumps and selling them as the garages own at an inflated price.........

I believe you are refering to the TDi fuel pump kits for the Supra that we designed and developed before others copied us (even though we removed the part numbers from the pumps). Even today ours is a proper comprehensive kit with everyting needed to install, as opposed to just a pump that is available elsewhere at a slightly lower price.

If anyone wants to do some TDi bashing, please come and see me toe to toe (I'll have more respect for you then). I am sure that any real or percieved issues can be resolved.

Can this thread be closed please?

Thanks :)

NO NO mr singh that wasnt for you that was for star a,sorry for confusion,it was about his argument regarding Lexus not knowing their stuff.

Mark,no I dont have any ongoing issue with tdi at all,as you know our business was concluded few months back. The comments regarding Lexus component failure being the problem with my car was not the case tho as the car is still running the same std lexus components and running fine, infact its now on 84k,which is 10k+ than when it was at tdi.I hope you can see that at all times I refer to my car and not anyone elses, cos i dont know anything about other tdi cars as ive never come across any,im here to clear up that it wasnt component failure and this was verified by 4 different garages, three of which were Lexus. As a customer I had to listen to the other opinions as they all said the same thing.this thread is obviously bout bigger things,so ill let it carry on that way and ill shut it.

Very fair point. Too many hide behind their computer screens.

Somehow i dont think they would see you 'toe to toe'

Agreed! A continuation would serve little benefit to the traders or the club... This topic could be resolved out of sight and restore the professional image of the LOC! All that needs to be said has been said, we have all been privy to the defence and accusations shall we move on!

Posted

Surely this is why public forums are about. Nothings gone off topic and seems a fair debate between traders and other fellow LOC'ers.

Some people would not feel confident enough to verbally come toe to toe with people. This forum gives people a chance voice their opinions.

Mark,

This thread can only be closed if had breached the Terms & Conditions.

To now, that has not occured ............ maybe slightly, but I personally feel it was best to 'air it all out' as it's been brewing up for a while, between your self and Dave.

The thread can be closed however, if the originator requests it to be closed, that hasn't been done.

Cheers :)

Isnt the whole idiosyncrasy fallable that these very people whom are confident verbally behind a screen are not so confident in real life?

I wonder how many would really argue in real life.
