Lexus Ls400 Or Mercedes?

We are currently looking around for a comfortable quality car either a Lexus LS400( maybe a 93-95 model) or a Mercedes S class( -95).

The only problem we have is the availability and cost of spares for the Lexus especially since we have a specialist for the Mercedes in our region (Durham), which is realistically priced compared to the Mercedes dealership.

Are there any good sources for spares and servicing parts for the LS400 in the UK other than the Lexus dealership?

Hi Paul

We run a special scheme on reduced part by 15% off normal dealer parts and Labour pricing, so what you would normally pay is greatly reduced. We also specialise in Lexus Insurance which again can save you some money every year.

The only thing is you may need to research servicing costs between lexus and Mercedez.

As a new Lexus owner I feel that I can honestly say that you really must try a Lexus if you haven't already.

I have a 10 year old LS400 (import) and apart from one or two minor niggles I am super impressed.

Value for money, Luxury, reasonable economy, lots of "toys", reliability etc. etc.

I only paid £4,000 for mine (from a dealer too) the only Merc I could get for that would be a clapped out. star ship mileage early model and then you are talking big bucks for repairs.

I give the car 10 out of 10 and believe me I have owned nearly every type of car on the road before buying the Lexus. (from a Jag XJR to an EVO 7).

DO it, you won't regret it.
