Whys The Heater Stay Hot After Engine Off For Ages

Turned engine off when got home tonight but left ignition on and heater on hi for 10 mins and it was still warm, got bored after that ! all cars ive had in past go cold after less than a minute. has it got an electric heater or something ?!!

Big engine = lots of metal, all storing heat energy. Add about six litres of coolant and you've got yourself one very big kettle. Blowing cold air on it isn't going to cool it down in a hurry!

ye but all other cars i had etc with big motors still go cold quick, must be another cool Lexus feature :D

I think its likely to be on Six cylinder engines and bigger. I know having a S/C makes the engine bay very hot!
