Do Lexus do a touch up paint pen or equivalent? I only want a small one for stone chips etc. Halfords don't do one, unsurprisingly.

I'm after a Cadoxton Slate one.

Cheers,

Yes they do....but don't use the brush that comes with it, use a cocktail stick and fill in the chip with 2-3 coats of paint.

Cheers,

I bought the Cadoxton Slate touch-up. It's paint code 1GO, part number 00258-001G0.

The 6Q7 code touch-up that I bought at the same time for my green 200 has a roller nib and a brush,,the roller is brilliant for feeding just the right amount of paint into the chips.

Unfortunately they don't seem to have continued this with the new colours, so you'll have to resort to a cocktail stick!!

I posted my ploy recently on this............

I scoured the Halfords kits for the closest match, then took it home, emptied the contents of the paint tube and refilled it with my Lexus touch up.

Now got the proper colour in a 'nib' applicator.

This was because I'm no good at applying paint either

Do Lexus do a touch up paint pen or equivalent?

When I bought a new Toyota Camry (five years ago) a small container of touch-up paint was included in the toolkit supplied, so I was a bit surprised not to find one in the kit for the Lexus that I bought in September last.

A couple of weeks ago, I dropped in to the dealer where I bought the car and was told that sometimes one is supplied and sometimes not, but they would give me one. The staff member went off to look for one and returned to say that the cupboard where they were kept was locked and he couldn't get at them (it was a Saturday).

I asked if one could be sent to me and was told it would, but I have yet to receive it.

I guess it's time for a reminder.

P.S. - where can I find the colour code for a 2006 (56 plate) IS 250 Argento Ice ?

I brought a very vey fine paint brush from a model shop, can apply a very small amount of paint

Went to my local Lexus dealer for some touch-up paint - "Sorry sir, your car is too old! We don't stock that any more!" They did give me an alternative supplier ........... Invicta Ford! Need to check them out.
