I needed a replacemet air con compressor for my GS300 Mk1 Sport. I'd filled out one of the part finder requests on autotrader and Nippon Spares were soon in contact.

I explaied that mine was UK spec and that I believed the imports had 3 different types of air con compressors and only one was compatible with the UK spec cars. I was assured that there was no problems as they were the experts.

The part was ordered and to be fair arrived the next day. I'd already arranged with my cousin (mechanic) for it to be fitted the next day. When he brought the car back it was with the news that it wasn't the same part.

Back on the phone and lots of apologising and they'd arrange for the wrong compressor to be picked up the next day and a replacement sent out. Well they picked up the wrong one but no replacement and that's when things started going wrong.

I was ringing every few days and Michael, the chap who had dealt with it all, suddenly had an inability to call back and was always busy. When i finally got through to him I was asked to photograph the compressor. I explained it was back on the car but gave him all the part numbers and took the photos as best I could. Then nothing so back on the phone and more he's busy but will get back to you.

More chasing and this time, it's been posted to you - but nothing arrived.

More chasing and this time, they'd chase the courier - still nothing arrived.

More chasing and this time told that they didn't know which compressor they had sent the first time and therefore couldn't send me another. So we agreed a refund which would be done that day. No refund on the credit card.

More chasing and told it had been done - no refund according to the bank

More chasing and told it will be done - Michael has the refund card - no refund

More chasing and Michael not about - will get back to me - Didn't

More chasing and assured a refund will be given - Bank confirms this but for £10 less than I paid.

So all in all I ordered a part on the 31st March, it arrived quickly but was the wrong part and it then took me over a month to get a refund for less than I had paid :angry:

So I'd avoid dealing with Nippon Spares Ltd as if things go wrong you will have a nightmare time getting anything resolved.

just tell them you posted details on the site

or......

Post up the number so we can all ring them and tell them we wont be using them and nor will anyone we tell :)

That would generate a lot of lost business.

as you said you used a credit card - instead of the hassle of phoning etc for a refund didnt you just call your credit card company and get them to issue a charge back??? - then no waiting for nippon to give you a refund
