only real good way to remove small dents is companies that do paintless dent removal eg dent master etc - they work the dent out from the inside using a series of angled rods etc - also depends on the location of the dent and how sharp it is.

when they have finished u wont even see it

its one of those really small one thats caused from a car door opening onto my door panel (looks just like a dimple in the door). its not overly noticable, but i just wondered if there was a DIY kit that people have found to be pretty useful

I managed to get a similar dent in a door on my shiny new 250, and happened to mention it whilst in Lexus Bristol. They said they had a man that could sort it, so an hour later and £65 inc. VAT lighter, the door was like new again.

Did contemplate doing it myself, but after a few photographs of the tools used (wedge inserted between glass & seal to enable lever insertion etc) I left it to Lexus to take on the liability...

unfortunately, i don't think its warrants £70 quite yet. its just the faintest of dimples, but annoys me knowing its there!!!

i'm sure i remember someone talking about a DIY kit that was actually really good :duh:

mind you, i'm not sure the DIY kits would touch a very small one to be honest!!!

i wish other people would take more care before slinging their car door open without a care in the world!!! :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk:

..I did attempt to remove it from the outside with one of those sucker pads used for lifting glass..the type that has an over centre arm to apply the suction pad, but it wasn't powerful enough. I had the feeling though that with the pad attached to the outside the dent would have pinged out with a very small pressure exerted on the inside.

There is a rubbing method as well as long as the dent is only small rather a dink than dent.

yes, its more like a dink.

whats this method then??? :D

If i remember you have to get the underside of the dink (opposite end) if you can and it involves gently rubbing it out. I will find out exactly how later.
