Brake Noise - Wow

Hi All,

Had a day off and had a chance for some spirited running today. Interestingly, when braking very heavily and sustainably (10 second or so) from from say 100 down to 40 / 50mph there was a humming noise from the brakes that got louder as the pressure increased - in the end it was really quite loud. I don't remember that on my old mk2 GS300 - is this normal or are my pads wearing out? Disks are fine, car has done 15K miles. Don't remember ot being so pronounced before, but then I don't often go that fast / brake that hard.
