Mintex Pads

Just changed the front pads to mintex last week and they are good for their purpose but there is BLACK dust everywhere ....

Had a 200 mile round trip yesterday on "irish" country roads where lots of heavy braking is needed and looking out the window this morning at my car, I have two silver wheels on the back but now have two dark grey ( almost Black) ones on the front.....

Is this a bad batch or normal? :o

Mine had setteled in after about 500 miles, I was told for the first 500 miles you should try not to brake hard.

I thought you where meant to do that with all brake pad or discs

I thought you where meant to do that with all brake pad or discs

True, probably should have worded it better, I had a load of dust come off mine for the first 500 miles or so, after that, a lot less than the standard pads.

I wash mine every week no matter what, but there is a hell of a lot less dust on them than there used to be. Only time I noticed a lot was 2 weeks ago at the ring, and the smell

swear filter must have stopped working??

Got that smell too... ... thought the car was on fire

swear filter is the yank version as far as i can see.... you can say - ####, ########, ...... but not ***** (###) ......

These pads any good then? What other pads do peeps use? Not sure if I like the thought of all that brake dust to be honest.

Green stuff and Red stuff. Not much dust at all.
