cat, what cat, that was the reading without!!

How's that managed then?

totally leaned of the fuel at idle, it had to be tweeked back again after the MOT but not by much car actually ran better coming back from the MOT on the lower Rpm so tweeked everything to suit, did a tweek across the whole range, after the MOT, had a fiddle with the trac/launch control and all seems to be running super sweet now

and seeing as yours is having the fcon pro aswell (and those other super fancy bits), means you will have the ability to fine tune the map......(i was there when you was on the phone with mr catchpole)

totally leaned of the fuel at idle, car actually runs far better now, did a tweek across the whole range, after the MOT, had a fiddle with the trac/launch control and all seems to be running super sweet now

Mark mentioned the monster was there ( Hows mine looking? ) . So I should be ok at MOT time with no cats then? Just need to find a large plate to slap on the front :)

depends on the MOT station, mine was put through as a modified car, so the criteria is slightly different, there is an option to test the car with, and without the cat fitted ;)

it was leaned out, as i said, if you read the topic correctly, why would i need different injectors the ones i have are more than upto the job (6x 1000cc)

i never said the MOT was carried out without a cat fitted either, you have assumed it was!, i said the reading was without the cat fitted, :) not that the MOT was done without the cat fitted

and the mot was done completely by the book, so Gord you can get of your high and mighty horse!

the only thing that was done....extra was the bumper needed removing to get the axle jack under the front to check the ball joints

Take it The Monster was not put through as an IS200 then :winky:

yes it was, but with a 3 litre engine fitted, as was mentioned it was put through as a modified car, so there is an option to change engine capacity on the computer program.....so, completely legit :)

Not on any horse :D

Never said that you had test without cat fitted, please read my post .

Only saying that NO MOT station will offer MOT without the cat fitted BY LAW as you know.

I did read your post correctly, and can read into it to :winky: just the MOT tester is wrong to say what he said :o

what has the MOT tester said that was wrong....?

To test car with or without cat fitted as a option, car must have a cat fitted by law.

my starlet originally came with cats

but is perfectly legal to test without :winky:

unless they have the specific data for the car, they can only carry out an "at idle test" with a reasonably high figure to keep within

:D

Absolutely Bazza, if the car is not on the big data base there are no figures to test to.

Lets say you took your car to MOT test centre and no data for your car on the data base :o and when tested was 8.4% you would not pass the MOT.
