ask for his VAT number.

this you can check....its an offence to charge it like this if you are not registered

so ...are you saying that VAT can be charged on second hand parts?

looking at the company data, it seems like a legit place, just find it strange that vat is charged on second hand parts

VAT is charged on everything (barring the exempt ie: tampon thingys )

will need to be vat registered to charge it though

ask for a vat reciept ;)

Nearly all Breakers & scrap yards charge VAT.

Could never figure it out as VAT has already been charged on a used item when it was new.

Only people not charging VAT would be a new company that has yet not hit the minimum VAT turnover threshold :winky:
